Water & Wellness

For centuries, water has been an essence of life for the people of Iceland. A source of energy, heating, and with time water has become embedded in the rich culture of geothermal bathing and wellness.

Land of Plenty

The population of Iceland is about 377.000 and although over 60% live in Greater Reykjavik are, the rest of Icelanders live in smaller towns and villages along the coast of the whole of Iceland and in Vestmannaeyjar. This leaves about 75% of inhabited area, mountains, glaciers and the highland which we proudly call our playground. Whether you want to dance in the midnight sun or gaze upon the northern lights doing the dance in the sky, anytime is the perfect time to come out and play.

Spirit & Culture

How does an island in the North-Atlantic shape a nation and it's culture? Iceland is the most sparsely populated country in Europe and with its unforgiving and extreme natural elements, centuries of isolation and fight for independence that has shaped the spirit and culture of the nation, and forced it to grow up quickly. It was in 1966 when the last people moved out of turf houses, today over 90% of homes use sustainable geothermal energy to heat their houses and Iceland is ranked one of the richest countries in the world with one of the highest life expectancy and quality of life. Proud, resourceful, creative, relentless, hard working, warm, free-spirited and independent would be a fairly accurate description.

Iceland. Our land. Our home.

Our playground. Come play.

Not all those who wander are lost.

-J.R.R. Tolkien
